Here are some hummingbird pictures I took last year! We have a LOT of hummingbirds where we live! They come every year and about the time they leave we have a dozen to two dozen of them, all at once!! :-) They are so much fun to watch!! :) I sat out in our front yard for about two hours one sunday afternoon getting theses photos! I have yet to get a "good" shot of the ruby throat-ed males. They are very shy and like to be at the feeder alone, which is rare. :) I hope to get some more photos of these tiny birds this year, maybe some lighter, closer ones!!! :)
It is, at least for me, difficult to get my camera to focus on the hummingbird and not the feeder! As in these two photos.... I think the camera was more focused on the feeder rather than the bird. :)

I love them all but the ones of them all around the feeder is my favorite :)
The photo just above, flying among the Zinnias, is really good, as well as the trio around the feeder. I can relate with the "feeder focusing"!
Great pictures. Have you ever tried getting a hummingbird to land on your finger? I haven't quite succeeded, but it came pretty close.:)
Same here, but I did get a titmouse and nuthatch to. (photo of titmouse on my "What's a Real Birdwatcher?" post.)
Hey Rebekah Morris, thanks for the comments! I'm not sure what happened to them. :( They were here but now they aren't... maybe they'll be back soon. :) I have been having some problems with blogger, it just hasn't been working as of late, but than I also haven't been on as much, so I don't know. :)
Anyway to answer your question Rebekah, I have never been able to get any bird to sit on my finger before! I haven't really tired though. I'll have to try :) That is really neat Sam that you got some birds to land on your finger!! I saw the pic on your blog, very neat!! :) How long did it take before it did that??
