Kansas City Zoo!! September of 2011

Polor Bear leaving the water
View of the Africa part of the zoo from the air-- well sort of....
We got to go on the new sky lift that was recently put in over the African part of the zoo.
It reminded me of a ski lift. =)
It was a lot of fun though and I really enjoyed it!!

I enjoyed all the pictures. My favorite was the bird ones and the lama as lamas are one of my favorite animals. Which one do you like best?

Are you going to dance practices? We are just too busy so we will not be able to go to any. We will be at the ball. Will you?

The little birds with the words (cute), they are love birds, I have one. I hope to put pictures up one day!

Do you have a favorite country of animals? Mine would be the jungle because there are so many birds. But then I like cows, horses, frogs, monkeys, lama's alpaca’s and many more. The jungle is not my favorite place in the world. That is hard to pick a favorite country.

Loved the big bird :)!! Have you ever ridden any animal? Me horses, pony and elephant once!! That was in Canada when I was very little.

Thank you for putting the pictures up. Do come over to my blog again when you have time.

Enjoy the last days of Summer!

Hey Valerie!
Thanks for your comment!
My favorite animal is a dog, my favorite zoo animal is the cheetah and my favorite picture in this post is probably the duck one! :) My favorite country of animals is probably Australia, though Africa's got some great ones too! :) Though I do dearly love farm and ranch animals!! I love horses and enjoy basically all of the typical farm yard animals!! So, I guess a farm would be my favorite place of animals! :)

Yes, I have ridden a horse several times which I LOVED!!! A friend of mine owns horses and also my Uncle used too, they were really fun to ride and I loved galloping about on them!! :)
That's neat you rode an elephant once! I don't think I've ever ridden anything else animal wise. I rode a Shetland pony when I was younger at a friends house! Besides that horses are the only thing I've ridden. :D

I am glad you enjoyed the pictures!! :) I enjoyed taking them! Thanks for stopping by!!

Hope you have a fantastic fall when it comes!! :)

Great pictures, Breanna! These make me want to go to the zoo!!! I haven't been to the KC zoo for YEARS! We're still hoping to take the grandkids there sometime in the not too distant future. They've never seen any Zoo animals, and they would love it! :)

Thanks for sharing your photos!

You've got some great shots there! Have you ever wondered where the name "zoo" came from? I just thought of that and thought I'd ask.:)
I don't think I could pick a favorite picture nor a favorite animal.:}

Thanks everyone for the comments! :)

Actually now that you ask Bekah, I do wonder where the name zoo came from! :) Do you know?? I have no clue, I should look it up! :)

By the way, I just looked up Zoo. It is short for "Zoological Garden." Zoology is the science or study of animal life. I should have known it would be something like that.:)
