In honor of Ronald Reagan

Three of my favorite presidents were born in February.
George Washington-February 21st
Abraham Lincoln-February 12th
and Ronald Reagan- February 6
Today would of been Mr. Reagan's 100th birthday!
So, to honor the 40th president, Ronald Reagan, I have found some quotes from him and an old picture of Jelly Beans, his favorite snack. :) I would of taken a newer, better picture, but we don't have any Jelly Beans on hand right now.

Ronald Reagan
40th President of the United States-1981-1989
Feb. 6th 1911-June 5th 2004

Quotes from Reagan...

"I hope you're all Republicans." -speaking to surgeons as he entered the operating room following a 1981 assassination attempt

"You can tell a lot about a fella's character by whether he picks out all of one color or just grabs a handful." -explaining why he liked to have a jar of jelly beans on hand for important meetings.

The most terrifying words in the English language are: I'm from the government and I'm here to help.

"They say the world has become too complex for simple answers. They are wrong."

"Abortion is advocated only by persons who have themselves been born."
"We have the duty to protect the life of an unborn child."
"Simple morality dictates that unless and until someone can prove the unborn human is not alive, we must give it the benefit of the doubt and assume it is (alive).
And, thus, it should be entitled to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness."

"There's no limit to what a man can do or where he can go if he doesn't mind who gets the credit."

"Let us be sure that those who come after will say of us in our time, that in our time we did everything that could be done. We finished the race; we kept them free; we kept the faith."

President Reagan’s favorite Jelly Belly flavor was licorice.

John 3:16
"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son,
that whoever believes in Him,
shall not perish, but have eternal life."
